1
In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.
In daardie dag sal daar ’n fontein oopgemaak word vir die huis van Dawid en vir die inwoners van Jérusalem vir sonde en vir onreinheid.

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, [that] I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.
En dit sal in daardie dag gebeur, sê die HERE van leërskare, dat ek die name van die afgode uit die land sal uitroei, en hulle sal nie meer onthou word nie: en ek sal ook die profete en die onrein gees uit die land laat ophou.

And it shall come to pass, [that] when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.
En dit sal gebeur, dat wanneer enige iemand nog sal profeteer, dan sal sy vader en sy moeder wat hom verwek het, tot hom sê, Jy sal nie lewe nie; want jy spreek leuens in die Naam van die HERE: en sy vader en sy moeder wat hom verwek het, sal hom deurstoot wanneer hy profeteer.

And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:
En dit sal in daardie dag gebeur, dat die profete beskaamd sal wees elkeen van sy visioen, wanneer hy geprofeteer het; en hulle sal nie ’n growwe mantel aantrek om te bedrieg nie:

But he shall say, I [am] no prophet, I [am] an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.
Maar hy sal sê, Ek is geen profeet nie, ek is ’n landbouer; want die mens het my van my jeug af as veewagter gehou.

And [one] shall say unto him, What [are] these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, [Those] with which I was wounded [in] the house of my friends.
En ’n mens sal tot hom sê, Wat is hierdie wonde in jou hande? Dan sal hy antwoord, Dié waarmee ek gewond is in die huis van my vriende.

Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man [that is] my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
Ontwaak, o swaard, teen my herder, en teen die man wat my metgesel is, sê die HERE van leërskare: slaan die herder, en die skape sal verstrooi word: en ek sal my hand teen die kleines keer.

And it shall come to pass, [that] in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off [and] die; but the third shall be left therein.
En dit sal in die hele land gebeur, sê die HERE, dat twee dele daarin afgesny sal word en sterwe; maar die derde sal daarin oorbly.

And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It [is] my people: and they shall say, The LORD [is] my God.
En ek sal die derde deel deur die vuur bring, en sal hulle soos silwer reinig, en hulle soos goud beproef: hulle sal my Naam aanroep, en ek sal hulle verhoor: ek sal sê, Dit is my volk: en hulle sal sê, Die HERE is my God.
