My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
My siel verlang, ja, smag selfs na die voorhowe van die HERE: my hart en my vlees roep uit tot die lewende God.

Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, [even] thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.
Ja, die mossie het ’n huis gevind, en die swael ’n nes vir haarself, waar sy haar jonges mag sit, selfs u altare, o HERE van leërskare, my Koning, en my God.

Blessed [are] they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
Gelukkig is hulle wat in u huis woon: hulle sal U nog voortdurend prys. Sela.

Blessed [is] the man whose strength [is] in thee; in whose heart [are] the ways [of them].
Gelukkig is die man wie se sterkte in U is; in wie se hart die paaie is.

[Who] passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
Wat deur die vallei van Baca gaan, maak dit ’n put; die reën vul ook die poele.

They go from strength to strength, [every one of them] in Zion appeareth before God.
Hulle gaan van krag tot krag, elkeen van hulle in Sion verskyn voor God.

O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
O HERE God van leërskare, hoor my gebed: gee oor, o God van Jakob. Sela.

Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
Kyk, o God ons skild, en aanskou die aangesig van u gesalfde.

For a day in thy courts [is] better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Want ‚'n dag in u voorhowe is beter as ‚'n duisend. Ek kies eerder om by die drumpel van die huis van my God te sit, as om in die tente van goddeloosheid te woon.

For the LORD God [is] a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good [thing] will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
Want die HERE God is ’n son en skild: die HERE sal genade en eer gee: geen goeie ding sal Hy weerhou van dié wat opreg wandel nie.

O LORD of hosts, blessed [is] the man that trusteth in thee.
O HERE van leërskare, gelukkig is die man wat op U vertrou.
