King James Version
AFR DVK
1
To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah. As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
Soos die hert smag na die waterstrome, so smag my siel na U, o God.
2
My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
My siel dors na God, na die lewende God: wanneer sal ek kom en voor God verskyn?
3
My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where [is] thy God?
My trane is my voedsel dag en nag, terwyl hulle voortdurend tot my sê, Waar is jou God?
4
When I remember these [things], I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
Wanneer ek hierdie dinge onthou, stort ek my siel in my uit: want ek het saam met die menigte gegaan, ek het saam met hulle na die huis van God gegaan, met die stem van vreugde en lof, met ‚'n menigte wat die fees gehou het.
5
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and [why] art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him [for] the help of his countenance.
Waarom is jy neerslagtig, o my siel? en waarom is jy onrustig in my? hoop op God: want ek sal Hom nog prys vir die hulp van sy aangesig.
6
O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.
O my God, my siel is neerslagtig in my: daarom sal ek U onthou uit die land van die Jordaan, en van die Hermoniete, uit die berg Mízar.
7
Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
Diepte roep tot diepte by die geraas van u waterspoute: al u golwe en u billows is oor my gegaan.
8
[Yet] the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song [shall be] with me, [and] my prayer unto the God of my life.
Tog sal die HERE sy liefde in die dag beveel, en in die nag sal sy lied by my wees, en my gebed tot die God van my lewe.
9
I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
Ek sal tot God my rots sê, Waarom het U my vergeet? waarom gaan ek treurig vanweë die verdrukking van die vyand?
10
[As] with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where [is] thy God?
Soos met ’n swaard in my bene, verwyt my vyande my; terwyl hulle daagliks tot my sê, Waar is jou God?
11
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, [who is] the health of my countenance, and my God.
Waarom is jy neerslagtig, o my siel? en waarom is jy onrustig in my? hoop op God: want ek sal Hom nog prys, wat die gesondheid van my aangesig is, en my God.
