Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,
Julle wat in die huis van die HERE staan, in die voorhowe van die huis van onse God,

Praise the LORD; for the LORD [is] good: sing praises unto his name; for [it is] pleasant.
Prys die HERE; want die HERE is goed: sing lof tot sy Naam; want dit is aangenaam.
4
For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, [and] Israel for his peculiar treasure.
Want die HERE het Jakob vir Homself verkies, en Israel tot sy besondere skat.
5
For I know that the LORD [is] great, and [that] our Lord [is] above all gods.
Want ek weet dat die HERE groot is, en dat onse Here bo al die gode is.

Whatsoever the LORD pleased, [that] did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
Wat die HERE behae gehad het, dit het Hy in die hemel en in die aarde, in die see, en in al die dieptes, gedoen.

He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.
Hy laat die damppe uit die eindes van die aarde opgaan; Hy maak weerligte vir die reën; Hy bring die wind uit sy skatte.

Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.
Wat die eersgeborenes van Egipte neergeslaan het, beide van mens en dier.

[Who] sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.
Wat tekens en wonders in jou midde gestuur het, o Egipte, op Farao, en op al sy dienaars.

Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;
Wat groot nasies neergeslaan het, en magtige konings doodgemaak het;
11
Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:
Síhon koning van die Amoriete, en Og koning van Basan, en al die koninkryke van Kanaän:

And gave their land [for] an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.
En hulle land tot ‚'n erfenis gegee het, ‚'n erfenis aan sy volk Israel.

Thy name, O LORD, [endureth] for ever; [and] thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.
U Naam, o HERE, is ewig; en u nagedagtenis, o HERE, deur alle geslagte.

For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.
Want die HERE sal sy volk oordeel, en Hom oor sy dienaars berou.
15
The idols of the heathen [are] silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
Die afgode van die heidene is silwer en goud, die werk van mensehande.
16
They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;
Hulle het monde, maar hulle spreek nie; oë het hulle, maar hulle sien nie;
17
They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there [any] breath in their mouths.
Hulle het ore, maar hulle hoor nie; en daar is geen asem in hulle monde nie.
18
They that make them are like unto them: [so is] every one that trusteth in them.
Dié wat hulle maak, is soos hulle: so is elkeen wat op hulle vertrou.

Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:
Seën die HERE, o huis van Israel: seën die HERE, o huis van Aäron:

Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.

Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
