Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.
Maak vir jou twee silwer trompette; van gedrewe werk moet jy hulle maak: dat jy hulle mag gebruik vir die roeping van die vergadering, en vir die optrek van die kampe.

And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
En wanneer hulle daarmee blaas, moet die hele vergadering by jou bymekaarkom by die deur van die tabernakel van die gemeente.

And if they blow [but] with one [trumpet], then the princes, [which are] heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.
En as hulle met een blaas, dan moet die vorste, wat die hoofde is van die duisende van Israel, by jou bymekaarkom.

When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward.
Wanneer julle ’n alarm blaas, dan moet die kampe wat aan die oostekant lê, voorttrek.

When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.
Wanneer julle ’n tweede keer ’n alarm blaas, dan moet die kampe wat aan die suidekant lê, voorttrek: hulle moet ’n alarm blaas vir hulle reise.

But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.
Maar wanneer die vergadering bymekaargemaak moet word, moet julle blaas, maar julle mag geen alarm blaas nie.

And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.
En die seuns van Aäron, die priesters, moet met die trompette blaas; en hulle moet vir julle wees tot ’n ewige insetting deur julle geslagte.

And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
En as julle in julle land in oorlog gaan teen die vyand wat julle verdruk, dan moet julle met die trompette ‚'n alarm blaas; en julle sal in herinnering gebring word voor die HERE julle God, en julle sal gered word van julle vyande.

Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I [am] the LORD your God.
Ook in die dag van julle blydskap, en in julle plegtige dae, en in die beginne van julle maande, moet julle met die trompette blaas oor julle brandoffers, en oor die offers van julle dankoffers; dat hulle vir julle tot ‚'n gedenkteken mag wees voor julle God: ek is die HERE julle God.

And it came to pass on the twentieth [day] of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.
En dit het gebeur op die twintigste dag van die tweede maand, in die tweede jaar, dat die wolk van die tabernakel van die getuienis opgetrek is.

And the children of Israel took their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.
En die kinders van Israel het volgens hulle reise van die wildernis van Sinai afgetrek; en die wolk het in die wildernis van Paran gerus.

And they first took their journey according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
En hulle het die eerste keer getrek volgens die bevel van die HERE deur die hand van Moses.

In the first [place] went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over his host [was] Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
Eers het die vaandel van die leër van die kinders van Juda volgens hulle leërs getrek: en oor sy leër was Nahasón die seun van Amminádab.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar [was] Nethaneel the son of Zuar.
En oor die leër van die stam van die kinders van Issaskar was Netáneël die seun van Suar.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun [was] Eliab the son of Helon.
En oor die leër van die stam van die kinders van Sébulon was Elíab die seun van Helon.

And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle.
En die tabernakel is afgebreek; en die seuns van Gerson en die seuns van Merari het getrek, wat die tabernakel gedra het.

And the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their armies: and over his host [was] Elizur the son of Shedeur.
En die vaandel van die leër van Ruben het getrek volgens hulle leërs: en oor sy leër was Elisúr die seun van Sedeür.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon [was] Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
En oor die leër van die stam van die kinders van Simeon was Selúmiël die seun van Surísaddai.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad [was] Eliasaph the son of Deuel.
En oor die leër van die stam van die kinders van Gad was Eljasáf die seun van Dehuël.

And the Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary: and [the other] did set up the tabernacle against they came.
En die Kehatiete het getrek, wat die heiligdom gedra het: en die ander het die tabernakel opgeslaan teen hulle aankoms.

And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies: and over his host [was] Elishama the son of Ammihud.
En die vaandel van die leër van die kinders van Efraim het getrek volgens hulle leërs: en oor sy leër was Elisáma die seun van Ammihud.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh [was] Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
En oor die leër van die stam van die kinders van Manasse was Gamliël die seun van Pedásur.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin [was] Abidan the son of Gideoni.
En oor die leër van die stam van die kinders van Benjamin was Abídan die seun van Gideóni.

And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan set forward, [which was] the rereward of all the camps throughout their hosts: and over his host [was] Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
En die vaandel van die leër van die kinders van Dan het getrek, wat die agterhoede was van al die kampe deur hulle leërs: en oor sy leër was Ahiéser die seun van Ammísaddai.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher [was] Pagiel the son of Ocran.
En oor die leër van die stam van die kinders van Aser was Pagiël die seun van Okran.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali [was] Ahira the son of Enan.
En oor die leër van die stam van die kinders van Naftali was Ahíra die seun van Enan.

Thus [were] the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they set forward.
So was die reise van die kinders van Israel volgens hulle leërs, wanneer hulle getrek het.

And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses’ father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the LORD hath spoken good concerning Israel.
En Moses het tot Hobab, die seun van Rehuël die Midianiet, Moses se skoonvader, gesê, Ons trek na die plek waarvan die HERE gesê het, Ek sal dit aan julle gee: kom saam met ons, en ons sal jou goed doen: want die HERE het goeie dinge aangaande Israel gespreek.

And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.
En hy het tot hom gesê, Ek sal nie gaan nie; maar ek sal na my eie land, en na my maagskap gaan.

And he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou mayest be to us instead of eyes.
En hy het gesê, Moenie ons verlaat nie, asseblief; want jy weet hoe ons in die wildernis moet kamp opslaan, en jy kan vir ons oë wees.
32
And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what goodness the LORD shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.
En dit sal wees, as jy saam met ons gaan, ja, dit sal wees, dat watter goeie ding die HERE ook al aan ons doen, ons dieselfde aan jou sal doen.

And they departed from the mount of the LORD three days’ journey: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days’ journey, to search out a resting place for them.
En hulle het van die berg van die HERE afgetrek drie dae se pad: en die ark van die verbond van die HERE het voor hulle uitgegaan in die drie dae se pad, om vir hulle ‚'n rusplek te soek.

And the cloud of the LORD [was] upon them by day, when they went out of the camp.
En die wolk van die HERE was by dag oor hulle, wanneer hulle uit die kamp getrek het.

And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee.
En dit het gebeur, wanneer die ark voortgetrek het, dat Moses gesê het, Staan op, HERE, en laat u vyande verstrooi word; en laat hulle wat U haat, voor u aangesig vlug.

And when it rested, he said, Return, O LORD, unto the many thousands of Israel.
En wanneer dit gerus het, het hy gesê, Keer terug, o HERE, tot die baie duisende van Israel.
