And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.

And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.
En hulle het Hom dopgehou, of Hy hom op die sabbat sou genees; dat hulle Hom mag aankla.

And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
En Hy het tot die man met die verdorde hand gesê, Staan op in die midde.

And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
En Hy het tot hulle gesê, Is dit geoorloof om op die sabbat goed te doen, of om kwaad te doen? om die lewe te red, of om dood te maak? Maar hulle het stilgebly.

And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched [it] out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
En toe Hy hulle rondom met toorn aangesien het, omdat Hy bedroef was oor die hardheid van hulle harte, het Hy tot die man gesê, Steek jou hand uit. En hy het dit uitgesteek: en sy hand is herstel soos die ander.

And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
En die Fariseërs het uitgegaan, en dadelik met die Herodiane raad gehou teen Hom, hoe hulle Hom mag vernietig.

But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,
Maar Jesus het Hom met sy dissipels na die see onttrek: en ‚'n groot skare van Galilea het Hom gevolg, en van Judea,

And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and [from] beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.
En van Jérusalem, en van Iduméa, en van oorkant die Jordaan; en hulle omtrent Tirus en Sidon, ’n groot skare, toe hulle gehoor het watter groot dinge Hy gedoen het, het na Hom gekom.

And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.
En Hy het tot sy dissipels gesê, dat ’n klein skipje vir Hom gereed moes wees vanweë die skare, sodat hulle Hom nie sou verdruk nie.

For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.
Want Hy het baie genees; insoweer dat hulle op Hom aandring om Hom aan te raak, soveel as siektes gehad het.

And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
En onreine geeste, wanneer hulle Hom gesien het, het voor Hom neergeval, en uitgeroep, sê, U is die Seun van God.

And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.
En Hy het hulle streng beveel dat hulle Hom nie bekend moes maak nie.

And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth [unto him] whom he would: and they came unto him.
En Hy het op ‚'n berg opgeklim, en tot Hom geroep wie Hy wou: en hulle het tot Hom gekom.

And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,
En Hy het twaalf aangestel, dat hulle by Hom sou wees, en dat Hy hulle sou uitstuur om te preek,

And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:
En om mag te hê om siektes te genees, en om duiwels uit te dryf:

And Simon he surnamed Peter;
En Simon het Hy die bynaam Petrus gegee;

And James the [son] of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:
En Jakobus die seun van Sebedéüs, en Johannes die broer van Jakobus; en Hy het hulle byname Boanérges gegee, dit is, Seuns van die donder:

And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the [son] of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,
En Andréas, en Filippus, en Bartoloméüs, en Matthéüs, en Thomas, en Jakobus die seun van Alféüs, en Taddéüs, en Simon die Kananiet,

And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.
En Judas Iskáriot, wat Hom ook verraai het: en hulle het in ’n huis gegaan.

And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
En die skare het weer bymekaargekom, sodat hulle nie eens brood kon eet nie.

And when his friends heard [of it], they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.
En toe sy vriende dit hoor, het hulle uitgegaan om Hom te gryp: want hulle het gesê, Hy is buite Homself.

And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
En die skrifgeleerdes wat van Jérusalem af gekom het, het gesê, Hy het Béëlsebul, en deur die owerste van die duiwels dryf Hy die duiwels uit.

And he called them [unto him], and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
En Hy het hulle by Hom geroep, en in gelykenisse tot hulle gesê, Hoe kan die Satan die Satan uitdryf?

And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
En as ‚'n koninkryk teen homself verdeel is, kan daardie koninkryk nie standhou nie.
25
And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
En as ‚'n huis teen homself verdeel is, kan daardie huis nie standhou nie.

And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
En as die Satan teen homself opstaan, en verdeel is, kan hy nie standhou nie, maar het ‚'n einde.
27
No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
Niemand kan in die huis van ‚'n sterk man ingaan, en sy goed roof nie, tensy hy eers die sterk man bind; en dan sal hy sy huis plunder.

Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
Voorwaar sê ek vir julle, Al die sondes sal die seuns van die mens vergewe word, en lasteringe waarmee hulle ook al laster:

But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
Maar hy wat laster teen die Heilige Gees, het nooit vergifnis nie, maar is in gevaar van die ewige verdoemenis:

Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
Omdat hulle gesê het, Hy het ’n onreine gees.

There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.
Daar het toe sy broers en sy moeder gekom, en buite gestaan, en Hom gestuur om Hom te roep.

And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
En die skare het om Hom gesit, en hulle het tot Hom gesê, Kyk, u moeder en u broers buite soek U.
33
And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
En Hy het hulle geantwoord, sê, Wie is my moeder, of my broers?

And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
En Hy het rondgekyk op dié wat om Hom gesit het, en gesê, Kyk my moeder en my broers!
35
For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
Want elkeen wat die wil van God doen, dieselfde is my broer, en my suster, en moeder.
