Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean.
Spreek tot die kinders van Israel, en sê, As ’n vrou ontvang, en ’n manlike kind baar, dan moet sy sewe dae onrein wees; volgens die dae van die afsondering vir haar ongesteldheid moet sy onrein wees.

And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.
En op die agtste dag moet die vlees van sy voorhuid besny word.

And she shall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purifying be fulfilled.
En sy moet dan drie en dertig dae in die bloed van haar reiniging bly: sy mag niks heiligs aanraak nie, en nie in die heiligdom kom nie, totdat die dae van haar reiniging vervul is.

But if she bear a maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her separation: and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying threescore and six days.
Maar as sy ‚'n vroulike kind baar, dan moet sy twee weke onrein wees, soos in haar afsondering: en sy moet ses en sestig dae in die bloed van haar reiniging bly.

And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest:
En wanneer die dae van haar reiniging vir ‚'n seun, of vir ‚'n dogter, vervul is, moet sy ‚'n lam van ‚'n jaar oud tot ‚'n brandoffer bring, en ‚'n jong duif, of ‚'n tortelduif, tot ‚'n sondoffer, by die deur van die tabernakel van die gemeente, by die priester:

Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This [is] the law for her that hath born a male or a female.
Wat dit moet offer voor die HERE, en versoening vir haar maak; en sy moet rein wees van die vloeiing van haar bloed. Dit is die wet vir haar wat ‚'n manlike of ‚'n vroulike kind baar.

And if she be not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean.
En as sy nie in staat is om ‚'n lam te bring nie, dan moet sy twee tortelduiwe, of twee jong duiwe bring; die een tot ‚'n brandoffer, en die ander tot ‚'n sondoffer: en die priester moet versoening vir haar maak, en sy moet rein wees.
