Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
Staan op, skyn; want jou lig is gekom, en die heerlikheid van die HERE is oor jou opgegaan.

For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
Want kyk, die duisternis sal die aarde bedek, en die donkerheid die volk: maar die HERE sal oor jou opgaan, en sy heerlikheid sal op jou gesien word.

And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
En die heidene sal na jou lig kom, en konings na die helderheid van jou opgang.
4
Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at [thy] side.
Hef jou oë rondom op, en sien: almal versamel hulle, hulle kom tot jou: jou seuns sal van ver af kom, en jou dogters sal by jou sy gevoed word.

Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
Dan sal jy sien, en vloei saam, en jou hart sal vrees, en wyd word; omdat die oorvloed van die see tot jou bekeer sal word, die magte van die heidene sal tot jou kom.

The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.
Die menigte van kamele sal jou bedek, die drommedares van Midian en Efa; almal van hulle van Seba sal kom: hulle sal goud en wierook bring; en hulle sal die lof van die HERE verkondig.

All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.
Al die troppe van Kedar sal bymekaargemaak word tot jou, die ramme van Nebajot sal jou dien: hulle sal met welgevalle op my altaar opkom, en ek sal die huis van my heerlikheid verheerlik.

Who [are] these [that] fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
Wie is hierdie wat soos ‚'n wolk vlieg, en soos die duiwe na hulle vensters?

Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
Sekerlik sal die eilande op My wag, en die skepe van Tarsis eerste, om jou seuns van ver af te bring, hulle silwer en hulle goud saam met hulle, tot die Naam van die HERE jou God, en tot die Heilige van Israel, omdat Hy jou verheerlik het.

And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.
En die seuns van vreemdelinge sal jou mure bou, en hulle konings sal jou dien: want in my toorn het ek jou geslaan, maar in my guns het ek medelye met jou gehad.

Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that [men] may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and [that] their kings [may be] brought.
Daarom sal jou poorte voortdurend oop wees; hulle sal nie dag of nag toegesluit word nie; dat die manne die magte van die heidene tot jou mag bring, en dat hulle konings gelei mag word.

For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, [those] nations shall be utterly wasted.
Want die nasie en koninkryk wat jou nie sal dien nie, sal vergaan; ja, daardie nasies sal heeltemal verwoes word.
13
The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
Die heerlikheid van Líbanon sal tot jou kom, die denneboom, die denneboom, en die bosboom saam, om die plek van my heiligdom te verheerlik; en ek sal die plek van my voete heerlik maak.

The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
Die seuns ook van hulle wat jou benoud gemaak het, sal kom en buig voor jou; en almal wat jou verag het, sal hulle neerwerp by die sole van jou voete; en hulle sal jou noem, Die stad van die HERE, Die Sion van die Heilige van Israel.

Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through [thee], I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
Terwyl jy verlaat en gehaat was, sodat geen man deur jou gegaan het nie, sal ek jou ‚'n ewige uitnemendheid maak, ‚'n vreugde van baie geslagte.

Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD [am] thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
Jy sal ook die melk van die heidene suig, en die borste van konings suig: en jy sal weet dat ek die HERE is jou Verlosser, en die magtige Een van Jakob.

For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.
Vir koper sal ek goud bring, en vir yster sal ek silwer bring, en vir hout koper, en vir klippe yster: ek sal ook jou amptenare vrede maak, en jou eisers geregtigheid.

Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
Geweld sal nie meer in jou land gehoor word nie, verwoesting of vernietiging binne jou grense nie; maar jy sal jou mure Heil noem, en jou poorte Lof.

The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
Die son sal nie meer jou lig by dag wees nie; en vir helderheid sal die maan jou nie lig gee nie: maar die HERE sal vir jou ‚'n ewige lig wees, en jou God jou heerlikheid.

Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
Jou son sal nie meer ondergaan nie; en jou maan sal nie wegtrek nie: want die HERE sal jou ewige lig wees, en die dae van jou rou sal eindig.
21
Thy people also [shall be] all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
Jou volk ook sal almal regverdig wees: hulle sal die land vir ewig erf, die tak van my plant, die werk van my hande, dat ek verheerlik mag word.
22
A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.
‚'n Klein een sal ‚'n duisend word, en ‚'n klein een ‚'n sterk nasie: ek die HERE sal dit haastig maak in sy tyd.
