Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of [her] friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.
Toe het die HERE tot my gesê, Gaan nog, bemind ’n vrou wat bemind is deur ’n vriend, tog ’n egbreukster, volgens die liefde van die HERE tot die kinders van Israel, wat na ander gode omsien, en die flappe van rosyne liefhet.

So I bought her to me for fifteen [pieces] of silver, and [for] an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:
So het ek haar vir my gekoop vir vyftien stukke silwer, en vir ‚'n homer gars, en ‚'n half homer gars:

And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for [another] man: so [will] I also [be] for thee.
En ek het tot haar gesê, Jy moet baie dae vir my bly; jy moet nie die hoer speel nie, en jy moet nie vir ’n ander man wees nie: so sal ek ook vir jou wees.

For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and [without] teraphim:
Want die kinders van Israel sal baie dae bly sonder ‚'n koning, en sonder ‚'n vors, en sonder ‚'n offer, en sonder ‚'n beeld, en sonder ‚'n efod, en sonder terafim:

Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.
Daarna sal die kinders van Israel terugkeer, en die HERE hulle God, en Dawid hulle koning soek; en sal die HERE en sy goedheid in die laaste dae vrees.
