Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.
Toe kon Josef homself nie meer bedwing voor almal wat by hom gestaan het nie; en hy het uitgeroep, Laat elke man van my uitgaan. En daar het geen man by hom gestaan toe Josef homself aan sy broers bekend gemaak het nie.

And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.
En hy het sy stem opgehef met geween; en die Egiptenaars het dit gehoor, en die huis van Farao het dit gehoor.

And Joseph said unto his brethren, I [am] Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.
En Josef het tot sy broers gesê, Ek is Josef; lewe my vader nog? En sy broers kon hom nie antwoord nie; want hulle was verskrik voor sy aangesig.

And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I [am] Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
En Josef het tot sy broers gesê, Kom tog nader na my. En hulle het nader gekom. En hy het gesê, Ek is Josef julle broer, wat julle na Egipte verkoop het.

Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.
Maar wees nou nie bedroef nie, en laat dit nie kwaad wees in julle oë dat julle my hierheen verkoop het nie: want God het my voor julle uit gestuur om die lewe te behou.

For these two years [hath] the famine [been] in the land: and yet [there are] five years, in the which [there shall] neither [be] earing nor harvest.
Want hierdie twee jaar was die hongersnood in die land: en daar is nog vyf jare, waarin daar geen ploeg of oes sal wees nie.
7
And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
En God het my voor julle uit gestuur om vir julle ’n oorblyfsel in die aarde te bewaar, en om julle lewe te behou deur ’n groot verlossing.
8
So now [it was] not you [that] sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
So is dit dan nie julle wat my hierheen gestuur het nie, maar God: en Hy het my ’n vader vir Farao gemaak, en heer oor sy hele huis, en ’n heerser oor die hele land Egipte.

Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not:
Maak gou, en gaan op na my vader, en sê tot hom, So sê jou seun Josef, God het my heer gemaak oor die hele Egipte: kom af na my, vertoef nie:

And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children’s children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast:
En jy sal in die land Gosen woon, en naby my wees, jy, en jou kinders, en jou kinders se kinders, en jou kleinvee, en jou beeste, en alles wat jy het:

And there will I nourish thee; for yet [there are] five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty.
En daar sal ek jou onderhou; want daar is nog vyf jare van hongersnood; dat jy nie verarm nie, jy, en jou huis, en alles wat jy het.
12
And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that [it is] my mouth that speaketh unto you.
En kyk, julle oë sien, en die oë van my broer Benjamin, dat dit my mond is wat met julle spreek.
13
And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither.
En julle moet my vader vertel van al my heerlikheid in Egipte, en van alles wat julle gesien het; en julle moet my vader haastig hierheen afbring.
14
And he fell upon his brother Benjamin’s neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck.
En hy het om sy broer Benjamin se nek geval, en gehuil; en Benjamin het om sy nek gehuil.
15
Moreover he kissed all his brethren, and wept upon them: and after that his brethren talked with him.
Boonop het hy al sy broers gesoen, en oor hulle gehuil: en daarna het sy broers met hom gespreek.
16
And the fame thereof was heard in Pharaoh’s house, saying, Joseph’s brethren are come: and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants.
En die gerug is in Farao se huis gehoor, en gesê, Josef se broers het gekom: en dit was goed in die oë van Farao, en in die oë van sy dienaars.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Say unto thy brethren, This do ye; lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan;
En Farao het tot Josef gesê, Sê tot jou broers, Doen dit: laai julle diere, en gaan, trek na die land Kanaän;
18
And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land.
En neem julle vader en julle huise, en kom na my: en ek sal julle die beste van die land Egipte gee, en julle sal die vettigheid van die land eet.
19
Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.
Nou is jy beveel, doen dit: neem vir julle waens uit die land Egipte vir julle kinders, en vir julle vroue, en bring julle vader, en kom.
20
Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt [is] yours.
En julle oog moet nie spaarsaam wees op julle goed nie; want die beste van die hele land Egipte is julle s’n.
21
And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way.
En die seuns van Israel het so gedoen: en Josef het hulle waens gegee volgens die bevel van Farao, en hulle padkos vir die pad gegee.
22
To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred [pieces] of silver, and five changes of raiment.
Aan almal van hulle het hy, aan elkeen, veranderinge van klere gegee; maar aan Benjamin het hy driehonderd stukke silwer gegee, en vyf veranderinge van klere.

And to his father he sent after this [manner]; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way.
En aan sy vader het hy so gestuur: tien esels gelaai met die goeie dinge van Egipte, en tien eselinne gelaai met koring en brood en voedsel vir sy vader vir die pad.

So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.
So het hy sy broers weggestuur, en hulle het weggegaan: en hy het tot hulle gesê, Moenie op die pad onrustig wees nie.
25
And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father,
En hulle het opgetrek uit Egipte, en in die land Kanaän by Jakob hulle vader gekom.
26
And told him, saying, Joseph [is] yet alive, and he [is] governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob’s heart fainted, for he believed them not.
En hulle het hom vertel, en gesê, Josef lewe nog, en hy is heerser oor die hele land Egipte. En Jakob se hart het flou geword, want hy het hulle nie geglo nie.

And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:
En hulle het aan hom al die woorde van Josef vertel, wat hy tot hulle gespreek het: en toe hy die waens sien wat Josef gestuur het om hom te vervoer, het die gees van Jakob hulle vader herleef:

And Israel said, [It is] enough; Joseph my son [is] yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.
En Israel het gesê, Dit is genoeg; Josef my seun lewe nog: ek sal gaan en hom sien voordat ek sterwe.
