Then he brought me back the way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east; and it [was] shut.
Toe het hy my teruggebring die weg van die poort van die buitenste heiligdom wat na die ooste kyk; en dit was toe.
2
Then said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut.
Toe het die HERE tot my gesê; Hierdie poort sal toe wees, dit sal nie oopgemaak word nie, en geen man sal daardeur ingaan nie; omdat die HERE, die God van Israel, daardeur ingegaan het, daarom sal dit toe wees.

[It is] for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before the LORD; he shall enter by the way of the porch of [that] gate, and shall go out by the way of the same.
Dit is vir die vors; die vors, hy sal daarin sit om brood voor die HERE te eet; hy sal by die weg van die voorportaal van daardie poort ingaan, en by dieselfde weg uitgaan.

Then brought he me the way of the north gate before the house: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD: and I fell upon my face.
Toe het hy my die weg van die noordepoort voor die huis gebring: en ek het gekyk, en kyk, die heerlikheid van die HERE het die huis van die HERE gevul: en ek het op my aangesig geval.

And the LORD said unto me, Son of man, mark well, and behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto thee concerning all the ordinances of the house of the LORD, and all the laws thereof; and mark well the entering in of the house, with every going forth of the sanctuary.
En die HERE het tot my gesê, Seun van die mens, merk goed, en aanskou met jou oë, en hoor met jou ore al wat ek tot jou spreek aangaande al die ordonnanse van die huis van die HERE, en al die wette daarvan; en merk goed die ingang van die huis, met elke uitgang van die heiligdom.

And thou shalt say to the rebellious, [even] to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O ye house of Israel, let it suffice you of all your abominations,
En jy sal tot die opstandige, selfs tot die huis van Israel, sê, So sê die Here GOD; o Julle huis van Israel, laat dit genoeg wees van al julle gruwels,

In that ye have brought [into my sanctuary] strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, [even] my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations.
Deurdat julle vreemdelinge ingebring het, onbesnede van hart, en onbesnede van vlees, om in my heiligdom te wees, om my huis te verontreinig, wanneer julle my brood, die vet en die bloed, aanbied, en hulle my verbond verbreek het vanweë al julle gruwels.

And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves.
En julle het die bewaring van my heilige dinge nie bewaar nie: maar julle het vir julle self wagters van my bewaring in my heiligdom gestel.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that [is] among the children of Israel.
So sê die Here GOD; Geen vreemdeling, onbesnede van hart, en onbesnede van vlees, sal in my heiligdom ingaan nie, van enige vreemdeling wat onder die kinders van Israel is nie.

And the Levites that are gone away far from me, when Israel went astray, which went astray away from me after their idols; they shall even bear their iniquity.
En die Leviete wat ver van My afgegaan het, toe Israel gedwaal het, wat van My af na hulle afgode weggedwaal het; hulle sal selfs hulle ongeregtigheid dra.

Yet they shall be ministers in my sanctuary, [having] charge at the gates of the house, and ministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them.
Tog sal hulle dienaars in my heiligdom wees, wat die wag by die poorte van die huis doen, en die huis bedien: hulle sal die brandoffer en die slagoffer vir die volk slag, en hulle sal voor hulle staan om hulle te bedien.

Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and caused the house of Israel to fall into iniquity; therefore have I lifted up mine hand against them, saith the Lord GOD, and they shall bear their iniquity.
Omdat hulle hulle voor hulle afgode bedien het, en vir die huis van Israel ’n struikelblok van ongeregtigheid veroorsaak het; daarom het ek my hand teen hulle opgehef, sê die Here GOD, en hulle sal hulle ongeregtigheid dra.

And they shall not come near unto me, to do the office of a priest unto me, nor to come near to any of my holy things, in the most holy [place]: but they shall bear their shame, and their abominations which they have committed.
En hulle sal nie nader kom tot My, om die amp van ‚'n priester aan My te bedien nie, en ook nie nader kom tot enige van my heilige dinge, in die allerheiligste plek nie; maar hulle sal hulle skande dra, en hulle gruwels wat hulle gepleeg het.

But I will make them keepers of the charge of the house, for all the service thereof, and for all that shall be done therein.
Maar ek sal hulle tot bewaarders van die bewaring van die huis maak, vir al die diens daarvan, en vir al wat daarin gedoen sal word.
15
But the priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, that kept the charge of my sanctuary when the children of Israel went astray from me, they shall come near to me to minister unto me, and they shall stand before me to offer unto me the fat and the blood, saith the Lord GOD:
Maar die priesters die Leviete, die seuns van Sadok, wat die bewaring van my heiligdom bewaar het toe die kinders van Israel van My af weggedwaal het, hulle sal nader kom tot My om My te bedien, en hulle sal voor My staan om aan My die vet en die bloed aan te bied, sê die Here GOD:

They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister unto me, and they shall keep my charge.
Hulle sal in my heiligdom ingaan, en hulle sal nader kom tot my tafel, om My te bedien, en hulle sal my bewaring bewaar.
17
And it shall come to pass, [that] when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, whiles they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within.
En dit sal gebeur, dat wanneer hulle in die poorte van die binnevoorhof ingaan, hulle linne klere sal aantrek; en geen wol sal op hulle kom, terwyl hulle in die poorte van die binnevoorhof, en binne, bedien nie.

They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird [themselves] with any thing that causeth sweat.
Hulle sal linne tulbande op hulle hoofde hê, en sal linne onderbroeke op hulle lendene hê; hulle sal hulleself nie met enigiets omgord wat sweet veroorsaak nie.

And when they go forth into the utter court, [even] into the utter court to the people, they shall put off their garments wherein they ministered, and lay them in the holy chambers, and they shall put on other garments; and they shall not sanctify the people with their garments.
En wanneer hulle uitgaan in die buitenste voorhof, selfs in die buitenste voorhof tot die volk, sal hulle hulle klere uittrek waarin hulle bedien het, en hulle in die heilige kamers neerlê, en ander klere aantrek; en hulle sal die volk nie met hulle klere heilig nie.

Neither shall they shave their heads, nor suffer their locks to grow long; they shall only poll their heads.
En hulle sal ook nie hulle hoofde skeer nie, en ook nie lang hare laat groei nie; hulle sal net hulle hoofde sny.
21
Neither shall any priest drink wine, when they enter into the inner court.
En geen priester sal wyn drink, wanneer hulle in die binnevoorhof ingaan nie.
22
Neither shall they take for their wives a widow, nor her that is put away: but they shall take maidens of the seed of the house of Israel, or a widow that had a priest before.
En hulle sal geen weduwee, of geskeide vrou, as vroue neem nie, maar hulle sal maagde van die saad van die huis van Israel, of ‚'n weduwee wat die weduwee was van ‚'n priester, neem.
23
And they shall teach my people [the difference] between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.
En hulle sal my volk die onderskeid leer tussen die heilige en die profane, en hulle laat onderskei tussen die onreine en die reine.
24
And in controversy they shall stand in judgment; [and] they shall judge it according to my judgments: and they shall keep my laws and my statutes in all mine assemblies; and they shall hallow my sabbaths.
En in die twis sal hulle staan in oordeel; en hulle sal dit oordeel volgens my oordele: en hulle sal my wette en my insettinge in al my byeenkomste bewaar; en hulle sal my sabbatte heilig.
25
And they shall come at no dead person to defile themselves: but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for sister that hath had no husband, they may defile themselves.
En hulle sal by geen dooie persoon kom om hulle te verontreinig nie: maar vir vader, of vir moeder, of vir seun, of vir dogter, vir broer, of vir suster wat geen man gehad het nie, mag hulle hulle verontreinig.

And after he is cleansed, they shall reckon unto him seven days.
En ná sy reiniging sal hulle vir hom sewe dae tel.
27
And in the day that he goeth into the sanctuary, unto the inner court, to minister in the sanctuary, he shall offer his sin offering, saith the Lord GOD.
En in die dag dat hy in die heiligdom, in die binnevoorhof, ingaan om in die heiligdom te bedien, sal hy sy sondoffer aanbied, sê die Here GOD.
28
And it shall be unto them for an inheritance: I [am] their inheritance: and ye shall give them no possession in Israel: I [am] their possession.
En dit sal vir hulle ‚'n erfenis wees: ek is hulle erfenis: en julle sal hulle geen besitting in Israel gee nie: ek is hulle besitting.
29
They shall eat the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; and every dedicated thing in Israel shall be theirs.
Hulle sal die spysoffer, en die sondoffer, en die skuldoffer eet; en elke afgesonderde ding in Israel sal hulle s‚'n wees.
30
And the first of all the firstfruits of all [things], and every oblation of all, of every [sort] of your oblations, shall be the priest’s: ye shall also give unto the priest the first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in thine house.
En die eerseling van al die eerselinge van alle dinge, en elke offer van alle soorte van julle offers, sal die priesters s’n wees: julle sal ook aan die priester die eerseling van julle deeg gee, dat hy die seën in jou huis mag laat rus.
31
The priests shall not eat of any thing that is dead of itself, or torn, whether it be fowl or beast.
Die priesters sal niks eet van enigiets wat dood is van self, of verskeur is, hetsy van voël of van dier nie.
