AFR DVK

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

En die woord van die HERE het tot my gekom, sê,

Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,

Seun van die mens, sit jou aangesig teen Gog, die land van Magog, die hoofvors van Meseg en Tubal, en profeteer teen hom,

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

En sê, So sê die Here GOD; Kyk, ek is teen jou, o Gog, die hoofvors van Meseg en Tubal:

And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts [of armour, even] a great company [with] bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

En ek sal jou omkeer, en hake in jou kakebene sit, en ek sal jou uitlei, en al jou leër, perde en ruiters, almal van hulle met al die soorte van pantser gekleed, selfs ’n groot geselskap met skilde en skilde, almal van hulle wat swaarde hanteer:

Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

Persië, Etiopië, en Libië met hulle; almal van hulle met skild en helm:

Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: [and] many people with thee.

Gomer, en al sy bende; die huis van Togarma van die noordelike kwarte, en al sy bende: en baie volk met jou.

Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

Wees jy gereed, en berei vir jouself, jy, en al jou geselskap wat by jou bymekaargekom het, en wees jy ‚'n wag vir hulle.

After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land [that is] brought back from the sword, [and is] gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

Ná baie dae sal jy besoek word: in die laaste jare sal jy in die land kom wat van die swaard teruggebring is, en is bymekaargemaak uit baie volk, teen die berge van Israel, wat altyd verwoes was: maar dit is uitgebring uit die nasies, en hulle sal almal veilig woon.

Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

Jy sal optrek en kom soos ‚'n storm, jy sal soos ‚'n wolk wees om die land te bedek, jy, en al jou bende, en baie volk met jou.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, [that] at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

So sê die Here GOD; Dit sal ook gebeur, dat op dieselfde tyd sal dinge in jou hart opkom, en jy sal ’n boos voorneme bedink:

And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

En jy sal sê, Ek sal optrek na die land van onbewoonde dorpe; ek sal gaan na hulle wat rustig is, wat veilig woon, almal van hulle wat sonder mure woon, en geen grendels of deure het nie;

To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places [that are now] inhabited, and upon the people [that are] gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

Om ‚'n roof te neem, en om ‚'n buit te neem; om jou hand te draai op die verwoeste plekke wat nou bewoon is, en op die volk wat uit die nasies bymekaargemaak is, wat vee en goed verkry het, wat in die midde van die land woon.

Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

Skeba, en Dedan, en die handelaars van Tarsis, met al die jong leeus daarvan, sal tot jou sê, Is jy gekom om ’n roof te neem? het jy jou geselskap bymekaargemaak om ’n buit te neem? om silwer en goud weg te dra, om vee en goed weg te neem, om ’n groot roof te neem?

Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know [it]?

Daarom, seun van die mens, profeteer en sê tot Gog, So sê die Here GOD; In daardie dag wanneer my volk Israel veilig woon, sal jy dit nie weet nie?

And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:

En jy sal uit jou plek uit kom uit die noordelike dele, jy, en baie volk met jou, almal van hulle rydende op perde, ’n groot geselskap, en ’n magtige leër:

And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

En jy sal teen my volk Israel optrek, soos ’n wolk om die land te bedek; dit sal in die laaste dae wees, en ek sal jou teen my land bring, dat die heidene My mag ken, wanneer ek in jou, o Gog, voor hulle oë geheilig word.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; [Art] thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days [many] years that I would bring thee against them?

So sê die Here GOD; Is jy hy van wie ek in ou tye deur my dienaars die profete van Israel gespreek het, wat in daardie dae baie jare geprofeteer het dat ek jou teen hulle sou bring?

And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, [that] my fury shall come up in my face.

En dit sal gebeur op dieselfde tyd wanneer Gog teen die land van Israel kom, sê die Here GOD, dat my grimmigheid in my aangesig sal opkom.

For in my jealousy [and] in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

Want in my ywer en in die vuur van my toorn het ek gespreek, Sekerlik in daardie dag sal daar ‚'n groot bewing wees in die land van Israel;

So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that [are] upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

Sodanig dat die visse van die see, en die voëls van die hemel, en die diere van die veld, en al die kruipende dinge wat op die aarde kruip, en al die mense wat op die aangesig van die aarde is, sal bewe by my teenwoordigheid, en die berge sal omgewerp word, en die steil plekke sal val, en elke muur sal tot die grond val.

And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother.

En ek sal ’n swaard teen hom oor al my berge roep, sê die Here GOD: elke man se swaard sal teen sy broer wees.

And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that [are] with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

En ek sal teen hom twis met pes en met bloed; en ek sal ’n oorstromende reën, en groot haelstene, vuur, en swawel op hom, en op sy bende, en op die baie volk wat by hom is, reën.

Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.

So sal ek Myself groot maak, en Myself heilig; en ek sal bekend word in die oë van baie nasies, en hulle sal weet dat ek die HERE is.
